Background of Rubber Authority of Thailand

The Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) was emerged from an integration of three units, comprising of the Office of the Rubber Replanting Aid Fund, Rubber Estate Organization, and Rubber Research Institute. The Rubber Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2558 was promulgated in the government gazette on July 14, 2015 and was effective on July 15, 2015. The Act has the objectives to establish the Rubber Authority of Thailand as a central organization for the administration and management of the entire system of rubber in Thailand on an integrated basis, along with managing funds and promoting Thailand to becoming the rubber manufacturing hub. Additionally, the Rubber Authority of Thailand is also responsible for engaging in the analysis, research, development, and dissemination of information regarding the rubber, as well as ensuring that the price of rubber is stable and promoting substitute and new plantations. Likewise, the objectives also include supporting rubber farmers, rubber farmer institutes, and rubber entrepreneurs in the aspects of academic, finance, production, processing, industry, marketing, business operations, and other related operations, with the means to improve income levels and quality of life. The Rubber Authority of Thailand is managed by the Committee of the Rubber Authority of Thailand, with the Governor of the Rubber Authority of Thailand having the highest authority.


Definition of Logo

The circle represents the annual ring of a rubber tree, which symbolizes growth. Inside the circle is a rubber tree, which has the utmost importance that is representative of the Rubber Authority of Thailand. The three lines embody the process of rubber production, from the upstream, midstream, and all the way to downstream supply chains. Likewise, it signifies the integration of the three organizations. The design features a drop of latex at the bottom-center of the circle, supporting the three lines at the top, and is embellished with Lai Kanok pattern, which represents Thai identity, similar to a blossoming lotus. The petal denotes the management of RAOT in the form of justice, transparency, and integration between rubber farmers and rubber-related businesses, with RAOT as the intermediary according to Rubber Authority of Thailand Act B.E. 2558. Meanwhile, the superimposed golden latex refers to the stability and prosperity of related parties of the organization.

The overall graphic of this logo represents an organization that emphasizes on enhancing the production capacity, from plantation, harvest, primary and secondary processing to produce industrial rubber products, and all the way to marketing, in order to provide stable income to farmers and increase value of Thai rubber through superior services, as well as promote a solid and sustainable community of rubber farmers.
